Ancient Moral, 1965

A ‘fall’ in evolutionary progress is incredibly rare but can happen. Even at a high level of evolution the pull of matter can precipitate a fall. In the painting the white upward spiral represents the long, slow, upward climb to perfection. The ‘fall’ is represented by the halter skelter tumble of the black downward spiral.
